Privacy Policy

Clipkite ("Clipkite", "we", "us") lets you upload short vertical videos and schedule them to be published on the social platforms you connect, such as YouTube. This policy explains which data we collect, and how we access, use, store, share, retain, and delete it. That includes data we receive from Google.

Information we collect

• Your email address, which you use to log in.
• OAuth tokens for the social accounts you link. They are stored on our servers and used only to publish on your behalf.
• The videos you upload, kept in our cloud storage.
• Scheduling details (publish times, titles, captions, and status), so we can publish your posts and show them in your queue.
• Anonymous usage analytics (page views, errors) that help us improve Clipkite.

Google user data

When you link a YouTube account, Clipkite accesses Google user data through Google's OAuth 2.0 authorization flow and the YouTube Data API. Clipkite's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Clipkite uses YouTube API Services to publish to YouTube. How Google itself handles your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

What we access

Clipkite asks for the OAuth scopes below and only accesses the data they cover:

• youtube.upload lets us upload the videos you schedule to your YouTube channel.
• youtube.readonly gives read-only access to your channel details (name, ID, and avatar) and to the metadata and status of videos you publish with Clipkite.
• userinfo.profile gives your basic Google profile (name and profile picture), which we use to show which account is linked.

We also store the OAuth access and refresh tokens that Google issues when you grant access.

How we use it

We use Google user data only to:

• Upload and publish the videos you schedule to your YouTube channel, at the time you pick, with the title, description, and visibility you set.
• Show your linked channel (name, handle, avatar) in Clipkite so you can choose where each video goes.
• Report the status of posts you publish with Clipkite, for example whether an upload succeeded.

We never use Google user data for advertising. We don't read your YouTube watch history, subscriptions, or comments, or any private videos that weren't published through Clipkite.

AI and machine learning: Clipkite does not use Google user data to develop, improve, or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.

Who we share it with

We don't sell Google user data, and we don't share it with third parties, except:

• Infrastructure providers that run the service for us (cloud hosting, database, and storage), bound by contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
• Google and YouTube, when we send your video and its details to the YouTube API to publish it for you.
• Authorities, when the law requires it, for example in response to a valid legal request.

Nobody else receives Google user data. No one at Clipkite reads it unless you ask us to (for example, for support), for security reasons, or where the law requires it.

How we store and protect it

• OAuth tokens and account details are stored server-side in our database and encrypted at rest. Tokens are never sent to your browser or shown to other users.
• All data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).
• Only authorized team members can access production systems, behind authentication and access controls.

How long we keep it, and how to delete it

• We keep Google user data only while your YouTube account is linked to Clipkite.
• When you unlink a YouTube account on the Channels page, we delete its stored OAuth tokens and account details.
• When you delete your Clipkite account, we delete all of your data from our systems, including Google user data, uploaded videos, and scheduling details.
• You can revoke Clipkite's access at any time from your Google security settings, or ask us to delete your data by emailing hello@clipkite.app. We handle deletion requests within 30 days.

What we never do

• Sell your data.
• Use your social accounts for anything other than publishing.
• Use your data, including Google user data, to train AI or machine learning models.

Deleting your account

Email us at hello@clipkite.app from the address on your accountand we'll delete it. That removes your videos, scheduling details, linked-account tokens, and all Google user data from our systems.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top.
